Great Crunchy Documentaries

I signed up for Netflix recently and have seen some great documentaries on our food supply and health.  They have been very educational and reinforce the need to be vigilant in monitoring everything that we eat.  Here are some of the best ones:

This great film is about a chef who decides to investigate the foods that he is using in his restaurant.  He learns about Genetically Modified foods and ends up travelling the world to learn about the impact of GMOs.  One of the best parts of the film is when he travels to India and learns about the true meaning of eating local.

This film has several experts who discuss the impact of our current standard American diet, the pharmaceutical industry, and the impact to our health.  Raw food fans will enjoy that David Wolf is one of the talking heads.

This one was one of my favorites.  Two guys decide that they want to grow 1 acre of corn and then follow it into the food supply.  This leads to a very informational documentary about not only agricultural industry but also the unfortunate destination of most of the nation's corn.  I highly recommend this film.
